Urumqi: Pakistan and China have signed several Memorandums of Understanding to enhance cooperation in the textile, livestock industries, and advanced emergency equipment sectors. President Asif Ali Zardari witnessed the signing of these agreements at an event in Urumqi, China.
According to Radio Pakistan, the first MoU was signed between Loyang Modern Biotechnologies and the Sindh government to modernize Pakistan’s livestock industry. This agreement aims to improve the industry’s infrastructure and processes.
The second MoU was signed between Beijing Asian Africa Longyue and ASM Services. It focuses on the promotion and construction of a modern textile industrial park in Pakistan, which is expected to drive industrial development and increase exports.
The third agreement involves Sichuan Chuanxiao Fire Trucks Manufacturing Company and ASM Services. This MoU outlines a framework for cooperation in the supply, distribution, sales, and after-sale services of fire trucks and advanced emergency equipment for Pakistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari highlighted that these MoUs are expected to open new avenues of cooperation between Pakistan and China, which will directly support Pakistan’s economic growth and public welfare. He emphasized that modernizing the livestock industry will enhance food security and create job opportunities in rural areas. Additionally, he noted that the textile park will contribute to industrial development, while the partnership on fire trucks and emergency equipment will improve Pakistan’s disaster response capacity and community protection.
