Pakistan, Denmark Sign Loan Agreement for Construction of WTP

Faisalabad: Pakistan and Denmark have signed a loan agreement for the construction of a Wastewater Treatment Plant in Faisalabad. The project aims to contribute to sustainable urban development by improving wastewater treatment facilities, thereby supporting environmental protection, public health, and resilient urban infrastructure.

According to Radio Pakistan, the agreement highlights the Government’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with development partners to address pressing urban challenges. This project is particularly significant as it marks the first intervention by Denmark’s Danida Sustainable Infrastructure Finance in Pakistan’s development sector after a long hiatus.
