Pakistan and Ghana Commit to Strengthening Military Cooperation

Islamabad: Chief of Defence Staff of the Republic of Ghana, Lieutenant General William Agyapong, met with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi today. A Guard of Honour was presented to the visiting dignitary by a Tri-Services contingent upon his arrival.

According to Radio Pakistan, discussions during the meeting covered matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defense cooperation. Both sides expressed their commitment to enhancing military-to-military relations, with a particular focus on joint training, counter-terrorism, and defense production.

The visiting Ghanaian dignitary praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and their role in ensuring regional stability. Following the meeting, the National Security Coordinator of the Republic of Ghana, Abdul Razak Osman, met with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at the Naval Headquarters and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at Air Headquarters in Islamabad. Lieutenant General William Agyapong was also present during these meetings.
