CDWP Approves Six Development Projects Worth Rs.16.9 Billion

Islamabad: Central Development Working Party has approved six development projects worth 16.904 billion rupees for national development. The CDWP met in Islamabad today with Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal in the chair.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting also recommended another six major projects with a cumulative cost of 418.761 billion rupees to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council for further consideration. This step underscores the government’s commitment to advancing critical infrastructure and development initiatives.

While reviewing the power sector projects, Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that energy security remains one of the central pillars of the government’s “URAAN Pakistan” initiative. This initiative is aimed at accelerating economic growth, enhancing industrial competitiveness, and promoting sustainable development across the country.
