Qingdao: Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Leghari and Iranian Energy Minister Abbas Ali Abadi engaged in discussions on advancing cross-border energy initiatives during a meeting at the Third Belt and Road Ministerial Conference. The two ministers emphasized the potential of energy projects to strengthen trade and connectivity between Pakistan and Iran, with a particular focus on electricity infrastructure development in Gwadar, Balochistan.

According to Press Information Department, the ministers highlighted the mutual benefits of enhanced energy collaboration, particularly in the operations and maintenance of power plants, as essential to meeting the region’s rising energy demands. Both leaders expressed a commitment to regular coordination and communication to support effective plant management and sustain energy output, envisioning long-term cooperation to benefit both countries and the broader region.
