ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar today held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting focused on reinforcing the longstanding relationship between the two nations, with both ministers expressing a keen interest in boosting trade, energy cooperation, and improving border management.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions highlighted a mutual commitment to enhancing trade, investment, and people-to-people contacts. The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister emphasized Pakistan’s desire to deepen bilateral dialogue to explore opportunities for regional connectivity, a sentiment that was reciprocated by the Iranian Foreign Minister. Araghchi affirmed Iran’s readiness to collaborate on mutually beneficial initiatives and promote regional cooperation.

In addition to economic and cooperative discussions, the meeting also addressed the situation in the Middle East. Both ministers shared a vision for addressing common challenges through coordinated efforts. They strongly condemned the Israeli actions in Gaza, expressing a united stance in support of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the unique relationship between Pakistan and Iran, with both sides committing to working together for the mutual benefit of their countries and peoples.
