Pakistan and Qatar Usher in New Era of Economic and Defence Cooperation

Islamabad: Pakistan and Qatar have ushered in a new era of economic, defence, and agricultural cooperation with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). Recently, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari held an important meeting with Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Sheikh Saud in Doha.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, both sides agreed to enhance collaboration in the defence sector, agriculture, and investment. The leadership emphasized the need for joint military exercises, exchange of defense technology, and sharing of professional expertise.

Qatar’s Defence Minister expressed keen interest in boosting defense cooperation and appreciated the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces. The strengthening of economic and defence ties between Pakistan and Qatar is expected to give new momentum to the defence industry and exports. This cooperation will further promote modern technology, agricultural development, and increased investment.

SIFC continues to play a vital role in driving Pakistan’s agricultural, economic, and defence progress.
