Pakistan and Russia Hold Inaugural Security Talks in Islamabad

Islamabad: Pakistan and Russia held inaugural consultations in Islamabad on Security Issues in Asia. DG Asia and Pacific Cooperation of Russian Foreign Ministry Aleksei Ovchinnikov met Additional Foreign Secretary and Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi for exchanges on regional security dynamics, emerging alliances, and areas of enhanced cooperation.

According to Radio Pakistan, Aleksei Ovchinnikov also met Additional Foreign Secretary (Asia Pacific) Imran Siddiqui and DG Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad Ambassador Sohail Mahmood. In a statement in this regard, the Foreign Office said Pakistan values its cooperative ties with Russia and remains committed to dialogue-driven approaches that advance regional peace and stability.
