Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Advance Defense Collaboration at Bilateral Forum in Riyadh

Riyadh: The 7th meeting of the Pakistan-KSA Bilateral Defence Industrial Forum convened on October 10, 2024, in Riyadh, marking a significant step in strengthening defense cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The forum focused on enhancing defense industrial capabilities and addressing mutual security challenges.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, “The Pakistani delegation was led by Lt Gen Muhammad Avais Dastgir, Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army, while H.E. Engineer Talal Bin Abdullah Al Otaibi, Assistant Defence Minister, represented the Saudi side.” The meeting underscored ongoing support from Pakistan for the capacity building of the Royal Saudi Defence Forces.

Discussions at the forum highlighted the need for greater defense industrial cooperation to keep pace with rapid technological advancements. Both nations reviewed progress in existing areas of collaboration and agreed on new avenues to explore, emphasizing their commitment to bolstering regional peace and security through strengthened defense ties.
