Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advancing joint business ventures with Saudi Arabia, focusing on enhancing trade, commerce, and collaboration in research and development. This announcement was made during a banquet in honor of a high-level Saudi business delegation led by Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council, Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister encouraged business communities from both nations to capitalize on the prospects of initiating joint ventures. He also highlighted the significance of the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, describing it as the formalization of long-standing informal brotherly ties. He emphasized Pakistan’s pride in partnering with Saudi Arabia in safeguarding the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, underscoring that every Muslim cherishes the opportunity to protect these sacred sites.
On the occasion, Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council, praised Pakistan’s business-friendly environment. He noted the immense potential for bilateral cooperation in various sectors such as agriculture, dairy breeding and meat processing, food security, pharmaceuticals, and construction.
