Pakistan and Tajikistan to Enhance Military Cooperation

Islamabad: The Defence Minister of Tajikistan, Colonel General Sobirzoda Emomali Abdulrahim, met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at the Joint Staff Headquarters. The meeting focused on bilateral interests, particularly the global and regional security environment.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions included measures to enhance military cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan. General Mirza emphasized the constructive engagement between the two nations in strengthening defence relations to promote regional peace and stability.

The Tajik Defence Minister praised the professionalism and achievements of the Pakistan Armed Forces in counterterrorism and peace efforts. The visit included a Guard of Honour presented by a tri-services contingent.
