Pakistan and United States Agree to Enhance Cooperation in Border Security

Islamabad: Pakistan and the United States have agreed to enhance cooperation in border security, counter-narcotics, coast guards, and forensic sciences. This understanding was reached at a meeting between Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, both sides discussed Pakistan-US bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. They also exchanged views regarding Pakistani nationals wanted in the United States.

Natalie Baker expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and property due to flooding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that American investors can benefit from investing in various sectors of Pakistan, including oil exploration, and assured that all possible facilities will be provided to American investors.

The Acting US Ambassador emphasized that the United States places special importance on its relationship with Pakistan.
