Pakistan and Uzbekistan Forge Railway Cooperation to Boost Regional Connectivity

Islamabad: Pakistan and Uzbekistan have agreed to further strengthen cooperation in the railway sector aimed at enhancing regional connectivity. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi and Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Alisher Tukhtaev in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister described the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway Corridor as a landmark project that would play a pivotal role in promoting regional trade, economic integration, and connectivity. This collaboration is set to enhance the transport infrastructure across the region, facilitating smoother trade routes and economic interactions.

Alisher Tukhtaev expressed Uzbekistan’s keen interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan in the railway sector and other areas of mutual interest. Both nations are looking forward to a fruitful partnership that could potentially unlock new economic opportunities and strengthen ties between the two countries.
