Pakistan Army Restores Key Road Link in Gilgit-Baltistan

Islamabad: The Pakistan Army has once again demonstrated its commitment to serving the nation by restoring a vital road link in Gilgit-Baltistan following recent flood damage. The Army’s Corps of Engineers constructed a temporary bridge at Sassi Haramosh in a record six days, replacing a bridge that had been washed away by heavy rains and flash floods.

According to Radio Pakistan, with the completion of the temporary bridge, the Gilgit-Juglot-Skardu Road has been reopened to all kinds of traffic, fully restoring the land connection between Skardu, Baltistan, and the rest of the country.
