Finance Minister Chairs Economic Coordination Committee Meeting

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb virtually chaired a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, the ECC considered a summary submitted by the National Food Security and Research Division and approved the proposal to constitute a Steering Committee under the Chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. The Steering Committee will, inter alia, do the need assessment and devise an operational mechanism with reference to the proposal of wheat import and demand of the provinces.
