Pakistan Calls for Peaceful Resolution of Congo Conflict

Islamabad: Pakistan has supported UN Resolution on Congo and called for peaceful resolution of the conflict there.

According to Radio Pakistan, speaking at the UN Security Council, Pakistan’s Alternate Permanent Representative to the U.N. Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad emphasized that all parties should recognize that there is no military solution to the conflict. He argued that they must prioritize dialogue and diplomacy and recommit to the peace and mediation processes.
