Pakistan Calls for Political Dialogue to Address Yemen Issue

Karachi: Pakistan has called for political dialogue to address Yemen crisis. During the UN Security Council briefing on Yemen, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Munir Akram, termed the humanitarian crisis in Yemen as one of the gravest in the world, with nearly half the population facing severe food insecurity and 3.5 million suffering from acute malnutrition.

According to Radio Pakistan, Munir Akram emphasized the need for a robust and coordinated international effort to tackle the humanitarian challenges in Yemen. He urged donor countries to increase their contributions to the 2025 humanitarian response plan for Yemen. Akram’s call highlights the urgency of addressing the dire conditions in Yemen through diplomatic and financial support.
