Bahawalpur, March 23, 2013 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Day was celebrated at of Bahawalpur Garrison with fervor and enthusiasm. Day started with special prayers for country’s prosperity and success in the comity of nations.
Later in the day, colorful riding gala was arranged for families and children Hassan Abid (Shaheed), was chief guest at the occasion. Tent pegging, show jumping, traditional camel dance, ludi and exhibition of riding skills by riders of different ages were the eye catching events.
While concluding, Corps Commander Bahawalpur, Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat appreciated the organizers for arranging such an eventful ceremony to celebrate Pakistan Day and distributed prizes amongst the participants. Riding gala was also attended by Senior Army and civil officers, families, children’s, media personal and notables of the area.
