Pakistan Engages Iran for Islamabad Peace Talks

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has stated that Pakistan, acting as a mediator, is in constant communication with Iran, emphasizing the pursuit of diplomacy and dialogue.

According to Radio Pakistan, Attaullah Tarar conveyed through a post on X that a formal response from Iran regarding the confirmation of their delegation to attend the Islamabad Peace Talks is still pending. The Minister highlighted the importance of Iran’s decision to join the talks before the expiry of the two-week ceasefire, which is set to conclude at 4:50 a.m. tomorrow.

Tarar further elaborated on the sincere efforts undertaken by Pakistan to persuade the Iranian leadership to engage in the second round of discussions, reaffirming that these diplomatic efforts are ongoing.
