Pakistan for Renewed Dialogue to Stabilize South Sudan

Islamabad: At the UN Pakistan has called for renewed political dialogue and full implementation of the peace agreement to stabilize South Sudan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the call was made by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, while speaking at the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in South Sudan.

The Ambassador emphasized the crucial role of the Security Council and the international community in maintaining political commitment and providing necessary resources, including support for peacekeeping and addressing humanitarian needs.
