Pakistan, Iran to hold discussions on proposed Ziarat Policy

Pakistan and Iran will hold discussions on the proposed Ziarat Policy today.

Javed Iqbal reports from Makkah that a ministerial-level meeting will be held between Minister for Religious Affairs Senator Talha Mahmood and Iran’s Minister and Representative of Supreme leaders for Pilgrimage and Ziarat Syed Abdul Fateh Nawab at Iranian Hajj Mission Makkah today.

The proposed Ziarat Policy is aimed at facilitating Pakistani pilgrims visiting ziaraat in Iraq and Iran.

The policy will boost religious tourism apart from bringing the people of two countries closer.

It is pertinent to mention that a large number of people visit Iran every year to pay homage to sacred religious figures in the neighbouring country.
