Pakistan Marks Black Day, Calls for Resolution of Kashmir Issue

Islamabad: Pakistan observed Black Day today, commemorating the events of 1947 when Indian forces entered Srinagar, leading to longstanding issues in the region. The day highlights ongoing concerns over human rights violations in Kashmir and reinforces calls for international intervention based on United Nations resolutions.

According to Ministry of Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, the Minister for Law and Justice and Human Rights, used the occasion to address the persistent human rights abuses and repressive policies India allegedly implements in Kashmir. He urged the global community to exert pressure on India to cease these actions and emphasized the importance of adhering to United Nations Security Council resolutions aimed at granting the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination.

The Minister’s message underscored the significance of international efforts to resolve the Kashmir issue through peaceful means and in accordance with international law, aiming to end what Pakistan views as an illegal occupation.
