Pakistan Military Leaders Denounce Human Rights Violations in Kashmir

Rawalpindi: The top brass of Pakistan’s military has condemned the ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) noted that Army Chief General Asim Munir presided over the 84th Formation Commanders’ Conference at GHQ in Rawalpindi. The event was attended by corps commanders, principal staff officers, and all formation commanders of the army.

The participants received briefings on the prevailing security environment and assessed the Pakistan Army’s operational readiness to address evolving traditional and non-traditional threats. The meeting resolved that the Pakistan Army remains committed to serving the nation without bias and guarding against all external and internal threats. It stated that any attempt to incite violence for vested interests would not be tolerated.

The conference participants also expressed concern about the use of Afghan soil by terrorists against Pakistan, particularly those affiliated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Concluding the conference, the Chief of Army Staff emphasized the importance of professionalism, operational readiness, and the Army’s dedication to ensuring Pakistan’s security and stability in the face of challenges.
