Islamabad, November 01, 2015 (PPI-OT): While continuing with the humanitarian relief efforts, Pakistan Navy’s ongoing relief Operation is extending its reach and resources to far flung areas hit by the massive earthquake. Pakistan Navy’s Forward Relief Response Centre, established and activated at Swat, continued with its relief efforts.
Today, Pakistan Navy’s relief teams reached out to Bajaur Agency and distributed relief goods amongst earthquake affectees at Village Pona Talai, Tehsil Salar Zai. Another Pakistan Navy relief team visited Villages Banjar and Palana, Tehsil Alipuri of Shangla District and distributed relief goods amongst the people affected by the earthquake.
A total of 22 x tons of relief goods transported through Pakistan Navy Fokker Aircraft and trucks have been distributed amongst affectees so far. A tranche of 7tons of Pakistan Navy’s relief goods reached Swat yesterday through two special sorties of Pakistan Navy Aircraft.
Pakistan Navy Medial Teams comprising Lady Doctors and Female Para Medical Staff have been providing medical assistance round the clock. A close coordination is also being maintained with the district administration and NDMA for better management of relief efforts and reaching out to the affectees in all possible manners.
