Pakistan, Nepal vow to cement bilateral, regional cooperation

Pakistan and Nepal have reiterated commitment to continue exploring avenues for enhancing bilateral and regional cooperation.

The bilateral ties were discussed in the meeting between Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and his Nepali counterpart K.P. Sharma Oli on the sidelines of 79th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The Prime Minister congratulated K.P. Sharma Oli on assuming the office of the Prime Minister of Nepal.

Expressing satisfaction at the excellent bilateral ties between Pakistan and Nepal, Shehbaz Sharif conveyed warm sentiments and wishes for the people and the Government of Nepal on behalf of the people of Pakistan.

He expressed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen the multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries, especially in commercial and economic, trade, tourism sectors.

The Prime Minister also extended an invitation to the Prime Minister of Nepal to visit Pakistan.
