Pakistan People’s Party on media trail: Sharjeel Inam Memon

Karachi, June 22, 2015 (PPI-OT): Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the PPP is still under the target through media trail but declared that the purpose will not be served through such tactics as all media trails and fabricated allegations did not prove.

Addressing in Sindh Assembly on budget discussion the Sindh Minister disclosed that china –cutting, land mafia, drug mafia, smuggled Irani petrol, illegal marriage halls were started in Arbab Rahim’s period and those who were the part of that government now leveling charges on the PPP.

He said a private TV channel that aired a baseless false story regarding the raid on his house was proved fabricated and the channel tendered apology on air. He said the PPP have a lot of respect for the army and will remain and pointed out that those parties who against the operation Zarb –e- Azb and wanted to open the offices of Taliban now they have no option but to support the operation. Sharjeel said that criminal and terrorist activities have been under control and the credit went to the police and Rangers for restoring peace in Karachi.

Rejecting the opposition charges, the Sindh Minister said that he can expose the opposition who were trying to join the government with PPP but now they are criticizing the Sindh government. He said PML-F and Sherazi brothers were willing to join the Sindh government.

The minister said that government allocated the budget for 80 percent on going and 20 percent new schemes including supply of water to each and every town. He said Rs. 2.9 billion allocated for the improvement of existing infrastructure for the supply of water and other civic facilities.

He said 400 RO plants started working in Thar to provide drinking water to people while Rs 49billion allocated for the development facilities in Karachi. He said that new projects also starting in transport sector in Karachi with the public-private partnership.

He said budget also allocated for starting the S3 and K4 project including 100mgd and 65mgd water supply schemes. Sharjeel Memon said that he demolished number of illegal marriage halls and 150 illegal hydrants before start of operation in Karachi. He said ghost employees also being removed from services while remaining issued notices. He blamed that the previous regimes responsible for all problems and corruption.
