Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, declared Pakistan’s firm commitment to supporting the Kashmir cause across diplomatic, political, and international platforms. He stressed that the nation stands in solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
According to a statement by National Assembly of Pakistan, Sadiq highlighted the country’s steadfast position on the Kashmir issue. He reminded that Pakistan annually observes Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5 to affirm support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their pursuit of self-determination.
Sadiq criticized the continuous human rights abuses by Indian forces in Kashmir. He expressed serious concerns about the conditions faced by the Kashmiri population. The Speaker denounced India’s revocation of Articles 370 and 35A, which had provided special status to Jammu and Kashmir, labeling the action a clear violation of international law and a neglect of the region’s disputed status.
He emphasized the necessity for implementing United Nations Security Council resolutions, which he argued affirm the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and demand an end to India’s unlawful occupation of the territory.
