Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Multilateralism and Peaceful Dispute Resolution

Paris: Pakistan has reaffirmed its enduring commitment to multilateralism, international law, and the peaceful settlement of disputes. This affirmation was made during a keynote address delivered by Pakistan’s Ambassador to France, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, at a conference hosted by the Rotary Club in Paris.

According to Radio Pakistan, the event was held under the theme “Pakistan in a Changing World,” where Ambassador Baloch provided a comprehensive overview of Pakistan’s position and role in the rapidly transforming international order. She emphasized Pakistan’s geostrategic significance at the crossroads of South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East, along with its commitment to resolving disputes peacefully.

In her address, the Ambassador highlighted the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in an era marked by global crises such as terrorism, climate change, and economic instability. She underscored that these were indispensable imperatives rather than mere options. Furthermore, Ambassador Baloch emphasized Pakistan’s active role in de-escalating crisis situations and its contributions to United Nations Peacekeeping efforts.

The Ambassador also briefed the attendees on Pakistan’s mediation efforts in the Middle East and reiterated the country’s readiness to contribute constructively to initiatives aimed at upholding peace and dialogue. She spoke about Pakistan’s rich civilizational heritage, its dynamic and youthful population, and its economic potential.

Additionally, Ambassador Baloch noted Pakistan’s ongoing reform agenda, highlighting the significant opportunities it presents for trade and investment with France and the broader European community. The event gathered members of the Rotary Club of Paris and distinguished guests from the diplomatic, business, and civic communities of the French capital.
