Islamabad: Foreign Office has once again stated that any kind of misadventure by India will have a robust posture by Pakistan. At his weekly media briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said Pakistan has confidence in its defence capabilities. If any aggression is made against Pakistan, we are ready and we have demonstrated our capabilities in recent Marka-e-Haq and it is evident to everyone.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Spokesperson said Pakistan hopes that India should be able to see the bellicosity and this kind of hegemonic impulse will not lead it anywhere. He emphasized that Pakistan believes in resolving issues through diplomacy and peaceful means and remains committed to this approach. The Spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s invitation to India to come to the negotiating table to work towards a peaceful settlement of disputes, leaving the decision to India on whether to engage in talks.
Regarding the situation in Syria, Shafqat Ali Khan expressed Pakistan’s full support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. He called on the international community to prevent Israel from actions that undermine peace and stability in the region. The Spokesperson affirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Syrian people and its commitment to lasting peace and stability in the region.
On the issue of Palestine, the Spokesperson condemned the continued aggression by Israeli forces in Gaza and Palestine, resulting in the deaths of innocent civilians, including elderly, women, and children. He reiterated Pakistan’s call for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, an end to Israel’s actions, lifting of the siege, and the rapid delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.
