Pakistan Secures Staff-Level Agreement with IMF for Extended Fund Facility

Islamabad: Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund have reached a Staff-Level Agreement on the Third Review for the 37-month Extended Arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Ministry of Pakistan announced via a post on its X handle that both parties also finalized the Second Review for the 28-month Arrangement under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility.

The agreement will enable Pakistan to access approximately one billion dollars under the Extended Fund Facility and around 210 million dollars under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility. This development increases the total disbursements under the two arrangements to about 4.5 billion dollars.
