Pakistan Seeks Chinese Investment in Maritime Sector at Beijing Event

Islamabad: Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has invited Chinese investors to expand their investment in Pakistan’s ports, logistics, and maritime sectors. He made this appeal while addressing the Regional Transit Trade Hub Initiative in Beijing.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted ongoing reforms by maritime institutions such as the Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim Authority, Gwadar Port Authority, and the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation. These reforms aim to transform Pakistan into a modern maritime, logistics, and industrial hub that serves regional markets effectively.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with China, Chaudhry emphasized the importance of cooperation to create a more connected, resilient, and prosperous future through increased trade and investment.
