Pakistan Sweet Homes organises event ‘Peace through Football’

Islamabad, January 26, 2016 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Sweet Homes organized a unique event at its Head office Islamabad H-9 with the name “Peace through Football”. The purpose of the event was to create awareness about women football in Pakistan. In this event Pakistan Women National Football team players had a football match with orphan girls known as sweet angels of Pakistan Sweet Homes. One of the sweet angels of North Waziristan, nine years old Hafsah said that “I am today really happy to play football, it is amazing day of my life and I want to represent Pakistan on the national level by playing football”.

In this event Ex-MNA Mrs. Kashmala Tariq also celebrated her birthday with the orphan girls of Pakistan Sweet Homes. On this auspicious moment she said that “Today is my best day of life, as I have been able to meet the angels on the earth. And I assure my volunteer work for kids of Pakistan Sweet Homes.”

It was cheerful evening and it turned into jovial night when these angels and national team football players started to sing national songs together. The Vice Capitan of National football team belonging to Gilgit-Baltistan Ms. Mahpara said that “It was so wonderful to play football with the angels. I also met orphan kids belonging to Gilgit-Baltistan. And I was totally surprised to see the great facilities for them. I also appeal the national and international community to join the cause of Pakistan Sweet Homes”.

At this occasion Patron In chief Pakistan Sweet Homes Mr. Zamurrad Khan said that “We have to have healthy events like this to create awareness about sports. I am thankful to Women National team for joining us today”. At the end of the event vigil was done to pay homage to the martyrs of Charsada.

Mr. Zamurrad khan also said that “This is the time that we all have to unite together against the evil of terrorism and show solidarity towards the Pakistan Army. Protection of these orphan kids is very important as orphans are most exposed and ostracized part of the society and being used by terrorists as the instrument to fulfil their evil plans”.

At the end of the event he acknowledged the role of media after Peshawar Incident and also appealed international community to join the cause of Pakistan Sweet Homes so we all can protect and save the future of Pakistan together. Currently, in Pakistan Sweet Homes 3600 orphan kids are living in 32 centres all across Pakistan.
