Pakistan to Conduct Interviews for Key Director Position at PSQCA

Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has announced the schedule for interviews to fill the position of Director General at the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA). The interviews are slated for candidates in the Management Position-I scale, highlighting a crucial step in bolstering the country’s standards and quality control management.

According to Ministry of Science and Technology, the selection process will begin on September 19, 2024, with a list of 42 candidates set to be interviewed. This initiative comes as part of the Schedule-I of Management Position Scales Policy 2020 amendment, indicating a strategic move to strengthen administrative controls under the Ministry of Science and Technology’s purview. The selection committee previously established for this purpose includes senior members such as the Federal Minister for Science and Technology and the Chairman of the PSQCA.

This interview process is significant as it involves high-ranking officials and experts in the field, ensuring that the leadership of the PSQCA is well-equipped to uphold the standards of quality and control necessary for Pakistan’s development in various sectors.
