Pakistan to Protect Its Water Rights Under Indus Waters Treaty: Tarar

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has declared that Pakistan’s entitlement to water under the Indus Waters Treaty is an inalienable right and a vital resource that the nation will defend.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar emphasized in a post on X that India’s unsuccessful unilateral attempt to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty holds no legal or moral ground. He noted that this action has resulted in embarrassment for India and constitutes a clear breach of the “One Water-One Vision” principle endorsed by the United Nations.
