Pakistan, Trkiye Pledge to Enhance Trade and Industrial Collaboration

Islamabad: Pakistan and Trkiye have expressed their commitment to deepening bilateral trade and industrial collaboration, aiming to build long-term strategic partnerships between the two nations. This commitment was highlighted during a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, and a delegation from Trkiye’s Bursa Chamber in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Abdul Aleem Khan emphasized the historic ties between the two countries, noting that they continue to strengthen across multiple sectors. He highlighted the mutual support both nations have provided each other during challenging times and underscored the strategic importance of cooperation in the defense and communications sectors.

During the meeting, the Turkish delegation expressed hope that Trkiye’s leading financial institution, Ziraat Bank, would be permitted to open a branch in Pakistan. This move is anticipated to bolster bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.

Discussions between the two sides also focused on expanding cooperation across various sectors, including defense, communications, aerospace, food, automobile, and manufacturing.
