Pakistan Urges Upholding of International Humanitarian Armed Conflicts: Asim

New york: Pakistan has underlined that international humanitarian law must be upheld in all situations of armed conflict and foreign occupation.

According to Radio Pakistan, taking part in the General Debate of the ECOSOC Humanitarian Affairs segment, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Asim Iftikhar Ahmad emphasized that violations must not be normalized, excused, or ignored. He highlighted the necessity of addressing the root causes of conflicts to reduce humanitarian needs, which, he noted, requires political will.
