Pakistan Vows Strong Response to Any Aggression, Emphasizes Diplomacy

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Foreign Office has issued a stern warning that the country will respond with full force to any act of aggression, while simultaneously reiterating its commitment to dialogue and diplomacy. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tahir Andrabi, emphasized during a weekly media briefing that Pakistan does not seek war or conflict but will not hesitate to act decisively in defense of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to Radio Pakistan, Andrabi highlighted the significance of the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, using the occasion to affirm Pakistan’s resolve to protect its national interests with all available means. The spokesperson noted that Pakistan’s commitment to diplomacy has been widely appreciated and is essential for shaping a peaceful future.

Addressing concerns about India’s military buildup following its defeat in Marka-e-Haq, Andrabi assured that Pakistan is closely monitoring India’s post-war modernization efforts. He emphasized that Pakistan is committed to maintaining its credible minimum deterrence and ensuring robust defense capabilities through the acquisition of necessary technologies.

Andrabi also highlighted the importance of peace and security in South Asia, noting that aggressive statements from New Delhi are alarming to international partners. Pakistan remains steadfast in advocating for diplomacy and dialogue as the means to resolve bilateral issues with India, grounded in international law and UN resolutions.

On the topic of the Indus Water Treaty, the spokesperson asserted Pakistan’s right to explore all legal avenues to secure its claims over the Indus Water basin. Additionally, he expressed optimism regarding the potential settlement of the Iran-US conflict, stating that Pakistan hopes for a peaceful resolution that benefits the region and the international community.
