Pakistan welcomes peace agreement between Government of Afghanistan and Hezb-i-Islami, supports Afghan-owned Afghan-led peace efforts

Islamabad, September 25, 2016 (PPI-OT): Pakistan welcomes the agreement signed between Government of Afghanistan and Hezb-i-Islami. Pakistan wishes to see peace in Afghanistan and we support all sincere Afghan owned and Afghan led peace efforts to that end. People of Afghanistan deserve peace and prosperity. Pakistan remains committed to peace and stability in Afghanistan as it is in the larger interest of the region and Pakistan in particular.
