Pakistani Interior Minister Predicts Enhanced US Relations

Houston: In a recent meeting in Houston, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi engaged in discussions with US Congressman Alexander Green, a prominent member of the Congress Finance Committee, focusing on strengthening Pakistan-US relations and addressing shared concerns.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, the dialogue centered around mutual interests, with Minister Naqvi briefing Congressman Green on issues of cross-border infiltration and terrorism originating from Afghanistan. The minister expressed gratitude for Congressman Green’s support for Pakistan’s earthquake and flood victims and commended his stance on the Palestine issue, which has garnered significant attention.

Minister Naqvi conveyed optimism about the future of Pakistan-US relations, indicating potential strengthening in the near future. Congressman Green, acknowledging his previous visits to Pakistan, announced plans for another visit to continue expressing solidarity and providing aid to those affected by natural disasters.

The meeting also included Pakistan’s Consul General in Houston, Muhammad Aftab Chaudhry, and notable Pakistani-American businessman Tahir Javed.
