Pakistani Naval Chief Concludes Strategic Visit to Bangladesh

Bangladesh: Admiral Naveed Ashraf, the Chief of the Naval Staff, has concluded a significant visit to Bangladesh, marked by a series of high-profile meetings with the country’s military leadership. The visit coincided with the port call of PNS SAIF at Chattogram.

During his stay, Admiral Ashraf engaged in discussions with Bangladesh’s top military officials, including General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, and Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan. The talks focused on mutual professional interests, regional maritime security, and potential avenues for enhanced defense cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The meetings underscored a mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and promoting regional stability. Admiral Ashraf’s itinerary also included a visit to the National Defence College in Bangladesh, where he received a briefing on the institution’s key programs.

In Chattogram, Admiral Ashraf met with local naval leaders and toured the Bangladesh Naval Academy. He praised the academy’s professional standards and emphasized the importance of academic excellence and collaboration in naval training.

The visit culminated in a reception aboard PNS SAIF, attended by Bangladesh’s naval chief and other dignitaries, highlighting the commitment to peaceful cooperation in the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean Region.
