Pakistani President Zardari Seeks Stronger Ties with Turkmen Leaders in Ashgabat

Ashgabat: President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan met with Turkmenistan’s President, H.E. Mr. Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader, H.E. Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, today to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in trade and connectivity.

According to Press Information Department, the discussions included an overview of the existing relations with a focus on enhancing them further. President Zardari reiterated invitations to both Turkmen leaders to visit Pakistan at their earliest convenience. The meetings underscored the strong, historic ties between the two nations and their shared aspirations for regional peace and prosperity.

President Zardari is in Ashgabat attending the International Forum “The Interrelation of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development”, which commemorates the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi.
