Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi and Rear Admiral Abdul Munib Assume New Commands in Karachi

Karachi: Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi has taken over as Commander Karachi, while Rear Admiral Abdul Munib has assumed the role of Commander Pakistan Fleet during change of command ceremonies held at Karachi.

According to Directorate General Public Relations of Pakistan Navy, Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi handed over the command of the Pakistan Navy Fleet to Rear Admiral Abdul Munib. Additionally, Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem transferred command of Commander Karachi to Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi.

Vice Admiral Abbasi, an alumnus of Pakistan Navy War College in Lahore, Naval Command College in the United States, and the National Defence University in Islamabad, has held numerous command and staff appointments. His past roles include Deputy Chief of Naval Staff Operations, Director General Naval Intelligence, and Commander Pakistan Fleet. He has been awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) in recognition of his service.

Rear Admiral Munib, also a graduate of Pakistan Navy War College, Naval Command College in the U.S., and National Defence University, has likewise held various key positions, including Deputy Chief of Naval Staff Operations, Director General C4I, and Director General Naval Intelligence. He has also been awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) for his contributions.
