Pakistani Prime Minister and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Discuss Regional Security and Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad: The Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, engaged in discussions with the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, focusing on the latest regional developments during the latter’s official visit to Islamabad.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement highlighting that the meeting served as a platform to explore the deep-rooted historical bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kuwait. Both parties deliberated on enhancing and strengthening joint cooperation across various fields to achieve mutual interests.

The discussions also addressed current regional developments and strategies to promote security and stability in the region. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah expressed Kuwait’s appreciation for Pakistan’s active diplomatic efforts in supporting regional security and stability.

Furthermore, Sheikh Jarrah Al-Sabah conveyed greetings from the Kuwaiti political leadership to the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, extending wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Pakistan and its people.

The meeting saw the participation of high-ranking Pakistani officials, including the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and the Ministers of Defense, Trade, National Food Security, Research and Communications, Maritime Affairs, and Petroleum, underscoring the significance of the talks.
