Pakistani Security Forces Thwart Infiltration Attempt at Afghan Border

ZHOB: On the night of January 22-23, security forces in Pakistan successfully intercepted a group of individuals attempting to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Sambaza area of Zhob District. The group, identified as khwarij, was halted by Pakistani forces, resulting in the deaths of six infiltrators and the recovery of a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.

According to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations, Pakistan has been urging the Interim Afghan Government to take measures to ensure effective border management on their side. The expectation is for the Afghan authorities to prevent the use of their soil by khwarij to carry out terrorist activities against Pakistan.

Pakistan’s security forces have reaffirmed their dedication to securing the nation’s borders and eradicating terrorism from the country. The interception is seen as part of broader efforts to address security concerns in the region.
