Pakistanis and Kashmiris Rally for Solidarity in Jhelum Valley

Muzaffarabad: A massive rally and ceremony took place in Jhelum Valley’s Chakothi district, near the Line of Control in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, marking Kashmir Solidarity Day.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the events were organized under the auspices of Tehreek-e-Jawanan-e-Kashmir and Pakistan Zindabad Basic Organization.

A large number of Kashmiris, including political and social leaders, teachers, and schoolchildren, participated in the rally. Demonstrators voiced their commitment to the Kashmir freedom movement while condemning Indian occupation with pro-freedom slogans.

Subsequently, a ceremony was held, featuring Sardar Ajmal Mughal, President of Tehreek-e-Jawanan-e-Kashmir, as the chief guest, and Asim Bashir, leader of Pakistan Zindabad Basic Organization, presiding over the event.

Addressing the gathering, Sardar Ajmal Mughal noted that Pakistanis and Kashmiris worldwide had commemorated Kashmir Solidarity Day, signaling that the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are not alone in their struggle. He expressed hope for Kashmiris achieving freedom, emphasizing India’s failure to subdue the Kashmiri spirit.

Dr. Raja Zahid Khan and other speakers highlighted Tehreek-e-Jawanan-e-Kashmir’s presence at the Line of Control as a statement of solidarity with Kashmiris in their freedom struggle. They urged the international community to hold India accountable and pressure it to honor United Nations resolutions for Kashmiris’ self-determination.

The event concluded with schoolchildren performing tableaus honoring martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement, paying tribute to those who sacrificed for liberation.
