Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary to Address Key Global Issues at CFM in Cameroon

Islamabad: Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi is set to lead Pakistan’s delegation at the 50th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) in Yaoundé, Cameroon, scheduled for August 29-30.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Foreign Secretary plans to highlight critical regional and global issues during the session, including the situation in Gaza, Middle East tensions, and the plight of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. His agenda includes discussions on the genocide in Gaza, threats to regional peace from actions in the Middle East, and the importance of self-determination rights.

Additionally, Qazi will address the challenges of rising Islamophobia and xenophobia worldwide, climate change, and terrorism. His engagement at the CFM will also involve bilateral interactions with counterparts from other Organisation of Islamic Cooperation member states, aiming to foster solidarity and unity among the nations.
