Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada Aims to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Ottawa: The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Canada, Ambassador Muhammad Saleem, presented his Letters of Credence to the Governor General of Canada, Mary J. May Simon, in a ceremony held at Rideau Hall. Ambassador Saleem emphasized the importance of enhancing the relationship between the two nations, highlighting economic diplomacy as a key focus.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, the presentation ceremony was attended by senior diplomats from the High Commission, the Consul General of Toronto, Consul General of Montreal, and the Trade and Investment Counsellor. During the event, Ambassador Saleem conveyed greetings from Pakistan’s leadership and underscored the historical and strong foundations of the Pakistan-Canada relationship.

In his remarks, Ambassador Saleem expressed his honor in representing Pakistan in Canada, emphasizing the strong ties and mutual interests shared by the two countries. He indicated his intent to collaborate closely with Canadian authorities to establish a deeper partnership, particularly in economic sectors.

The High Commission and its consulates will continue to promote bilateral engagement through dialogue, business linkages, and cultural diplomacy. Ambassador Saleem also expressed enthusiasm for engaging with the Pakistani Canadian diaspora, acknowledging their significant role in strengthening relations between the two nations.
