Pakistan’s IT Minister Directs PSEB to Enhance Capacity and Focus on Export Growth

Islamabad: Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, has instructed the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) to increase its capacity and improve operational efficiency to meet export targets swiftly. The directive was issued during the 61st meeting of the Board of Directors of PSEB held at the Ministry of IT.

According to Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication announcement issued on 09 October 2024, Minister Khawaja emphasized the need for PSEB to devise a robust strategy for enhancing its functionality and focusing on its goals. The meeting, attended by Secretary IT Zarrar Hasham Khan and P@SHA Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed (who joined virtually), also discussed the government’s commitment to boosting IT exports. Strategies to enhance PSEB’s effectiveness in fostering IT export growth were a central theme of the discussions.
