Pakistan’s IT Ministry Urges Software Export Board to Ramp Up Capacity

Islamabad: In a decisive move to enhance Pakistan’s IT export capabilities, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, has instructed the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) to significantly boost its operational capacity and meet its targets promptly.

According to Press Information Department, the directive came during the 61st meeting of the Board of Directors of PSEB, which was held in the committee room of the Ministry of IT. The meeting saw key participants including Secretary IT Zarrar Hasham Khan, and Chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) Sajjad Mustafa Syed, who joined virtually.

Minister Shaza Fatima emphasized the need for PSEB to develop a robust strategy that improves its functionality and sharpens its focus on achieving predefined goals. The discussion also covered various aspects of the board’s operations and explored strategic steps to escalate IT exports, reflecting the government’s commitment to bolstering the sector as a cornerstone of the national economy.
