Pakistan’s IT Sector Successfully Enters New Phases of Development

Islamabad: Pakistan’s IT and digital sector has successfully entered new phases of development through the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s support over the last three years. With this support, it became possible to organize major global tech events in Pakistan, such as ITCN Asia 2026. Additionally, programs like the Indus AI Week 2026 played a vital role in promoting artificial intelligence and digital skills across the country.

According to Radio Pakistan, the expansion of Supernet Global was also achieved, which is leading to a significant increase in Pakistan’s digital exports and foreign exchange reserves. Furthermore, SIFC’s effective strategy enabled the launch of the 5G spectrum in Pakistan, signaling the start of a new era of digital growth.

To teach new skills to the youth, the Ministry of IT launched a nationwide skill-building program named “AI Seekho 2026”. This year, the total value of Pakistan’s startup ecosystem crossed four billion dollars, which is a clear sign of significant growth since 2020.
